You can' t defrag it, you can only format it but then you' d lose everything, including the Xbox emulator software and it would need to be downloaded again. If you do want to format it then just go to the system blade, select memory, press ' y' and secect format. What exactly is the problem you' re having?

On second thoughts, maybe you want to clear the cache?! If that' s the case then go to the system blade, select memory, highlight the HDD and press Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. It should ask you if you want to perform maintenance of the storage device. But again, bear in mind that it will remove all software updates although you' re emulation software won' t be affected. You' ll just have games updating again when you run them.

Is there a way to remove the emulating software without formatting?

Sweet! Thanks Majik. That' s what I meant. No wonder I couldn' t find the thread where this was discussed before. I think I need to do this because my videos are running choppy, all of a sudden. I guess I' ll try it tomorrow. Gotta go to bed. It' s weird going to bed at 5:00 in the afternoon!

My videos (particularly the last " Bringing it home" bunch) were running choppy but the latest update seems to have fixed this!

I' d like to give this a try, but I dont want another Xbox to get the 3 red lights. Maybe I' ll try using the one at my marketing job as a guinea pig.
