How on earth can it take 18 months to complete Episode 2? its barely half a game. This Episodic thing is redicolous if they cant release games faster.

In anycase i just finished episode 2 and its fucking great, but i want episode 3 right about now.

They make episodic content because they know idiots like you will buy it.
if everyone demanded full games at normal price within normal time frames then that' s what we' d get but nooooooo, some people just have to play along the demands of the profiteers. It' s not damn you Valve, it' s damn you VX!

Half Life 2 is a full game. VX isn' t disapointed, he enjoyed Episode Two and he wants to play the next one.

with episode 3 they should have no extra development slowing the development down.

Considering HL2 took 3 years, 18 months for half a game is about equal. Not that I think episodic content is going anywhere but obsolete.

Its good for adventure games like Sam&Max but FPSs that rely on technology updates every few months wont work in episodes.

they brought in people to make Portal. And Teamfortress two have taken nearly 10 years.

In anycase, it cant really be called episodic if it isnt out every third month or so.
