BTW, my new PC came today and have been on Crysis for a few hours, the holy grale of graphics for sure, tend to just wonder around admiring the scenery (i get around 40-80fps at max on beta 3 -which is ' still' not yet fully optimised, nor take' s advantage of my quad core -only uses two of them.. .

What spec did you go for VF? Full details please! (Looking at your race sim setup it prob has every bell & whistle right?)

I dont think Crysis multiplayer will be as pick up and play fun as Halo. I dont think Yerli should count on too many Halo fans ' getting' him either.

It' s funny the guy who claims that he' s all about gameplay and doesn' t care about graphics is hyped for what is guaranteed to be one of the shittiest playing FPS of all time, just because of the graphics. LOL.

The only reason I would even get this is cause I like to run nice looking games on my computer, I doubt I will actually play it seriously.

Farcry had mediocre gameplay, and the worst checkpoint save system ever created in a FPS game.

THe only good thing about Far Cry was the AI. Anyway, I think that Crysis will suck big time, but I think there might be, after all, some cool games created with the CryEngine 2. Some cool mods and stuff. To me, Crysis is more like a " tutorial game" so that people can see some of the things CryEngine 2 is capable of.

If i did give my opinion about Crysis' s gameplay (which i have not). I would of took that seriously. And even then, i would of ask you:

1)what games do i play? (you obviously know more than me on this subject)
2)How the fuck can one describe ' middle ground' when games are concerned?
3)Your assumption of Crysis having shit gameplay means you' ve played the finished game i take? Cos I have the beta and It' s still not enough to decide if the core game is good or not.

BTW you don' t have to answer them yet, wait until i play the full version of crysis and give my impressions.

You missed old SEGA, Snk, Treasure, Some Capcom. Basically Any game that is done properly and plays naturally for that system.

I toned down my orignal plans and now have:

1 Nvidia 8800GTX 768mb (GPU)
was gonna go x2 but not worth it since the next is around the corner and will easily out-perform 2 8800 GTX' s.

Intel Quad Core 2.4 ghz (CPU)
was gona go for the quad at 3.2Ghz but i should be able to overclock this 2.4 upto atleast 2.8ghz and will save about £70

I didn' t say I did, but it' s the impression you give that spurred my curiosity. It' s the
same when people like Vx and Quez start talking constantly about the next 360
IP they are getting, the impression they give (and you undoubtedly highlight) is
that they are great fans of Xbox. The impression you give is that of someone who
seems to have a taste in only two ends of the scale and they are complete
opposites, if you' re not rambling on about something with eyegasmic graphics and
questionable gameplay (so you' re not lost, the game at the forefront of my mind
was Motorstorm), you' re constantly going on about something retro or something
with way below par graphics, and " great" gameplay. Also in this sense it feels
like you' re contradicting yourself ( I say it feels, I' m not saying you are before
you come up with another silly question like " Then tell me, what bank am I with" )

All I pointed out was that there barely seems to be any middle ground, and you' ve
taken offence. Which I don' t understand, because that is a way more subtle
approach than the way you categorise people.

So please, don' t try to second guess what I am thinking, or put words into my
mouth thank you. For once, try to stop being paranoid and just accept that the
impression you give the rest of us is that of someone who can' t decide whether
he' s a graphics whore, or he prefers playability over graphical sacrifice. We don' t
put you in that categor, they way you go on does it by itself.
