The first one was the adoption of a pit geometry that allows " push-pull" tracking, a proprietary Philips/Sony technology. That' s all Sony has to do with DVD. I guess the royalties from the current gen DVD mainly go to Toshiba. Lets see what they can do with their HD-DVD.

It' s might look ugly but at least they didn' t force you to pay for it and if HD-DVD fails Microsoft could easily release a Blu-Ray add-on. ...yea, true... ....it' d suck if 360 had HD-DVD built in and was priced similar to PS3... ..there would be NO WAY that i could afford both of them.... ...although HD-DVD may be left with it' s a$$ hanging in the breeze because of it' s initial lack of inclusion.... ...because if you want both gaming and HD movies, i' d be really surprised if anyone would be bothered with 360 + external drive and no HDMI, when you' ve got PS3 ready to go out of the box.... ...personally, i plan on using 360 solely for gaming, and PS3 for both gaming and High Def movies...
