...We can confirm that Cory Barlog, game director for God of War II, is leaving the SCEA SM Studio and we are grateful for his work and creative vision for the critically acclaimed God of War franchise...
...Moving forward, we are confident in the God of War team, as they are an extremely talented group of people that are passionate about the franchise and dedicated to creating even more epic content with God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP and God of War III for PS3....
LINK The Jaffe directed God of War was good, but the Barlog directed God of War II was amazing. I had hoped that Barlog would be handling the PS3 game, but now it' ll be given to somebody else. Somebody unknown. Saying that, nobody had heard of Barlog before his God of War II success so who knows, ...God of War III may turn out all the better for it. Where' s Barlog going? Nobody knows...

Shame, ...but at least you' ll get to play the 3rd game - and Heavenly Sword which is similar.

Yeah thats a plus, im still looking for a way to get a cheap 60gb console, hopefully ill get lucky.

Hm, I wonder where he would go to. Maybe some studio close to Microsoft? But as you said, he wasn' t known either before and did a good job anyway. I assume there' s might be someone from the team who can take over. It must be annoying though with him leaving while they' re working on those games.
