This is only my second post so I appologise if this topic has already been discussed.
I recently completed Saints Row (not 100% but all the missions anyway) and I just thought WHAT AN AWFULL ENDING!

IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW THE ENDING THEN LOOK AWAY NOW!

When I entered the last mission of the game and it has the cut scene on the boat, I was thinking YES THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT! Especially when it shows all the friends and enemies throughout the game you have encountered I was expecting a huge brawl of some sort with evryone jumping in. " You are going to die here" makes you expect a huge, brilliant mission which would make you want to play the game again. When I boat blew up I was like " ...................." what?

Even though the Mayor explains his plans from the game which is a good piece of sotryline it still doesnt explain what happened to the boat. I know it was supposed to be one of those endings that make you think " Who did it?" but I as so dissapointed with the ending!

Just wondering what you guys thought of it...

I myself played the demo and it put me off for like, the Jerkynesss and tearing was unbarable.

I have heard its can be fun tho, and wish i did play through it.

I strongly disagree with you. The game executes driving and shooting better than just about every other game in its genre, resulting in one of the more refined sandbox like games available.

The main guy is most likely NOT dead, hear that splash right at the end? its the same noise you get when you jump into water, so the sequal would most likely be you going after who ever set you up

That' s easy. If the main character dies then they can bring on a new main character in Saint Row 2.. They' ve done something similar in movies.

Well, they could easily loose saints row and a new gang could easily move in

I strongly disagree with you. Though I' m not into that gangster bullshit I really like the presentation of the story in comparison to say GTA. I never liked GTA' s stories...they didn' t have a real " catch on" factor that is why I liked this one it had that factor.

But to be fair...the mini-games did suck ass (too repetitive) and the ending was the worst piece of shit I have seen since...well...can' t think of something that compares...it was up there with Halo 2 most like.

The developers thought the ending would be funny.....

I haven' t played the game yet but with what you guys are saying I might just rent the game before I buy it, just in case I myself find that the game too is retarded.

If you like the GTA games you will like this, its GTA with better shooting and unarmed combat
