Anyone else not care what wins Console GOTY

Not to say this year hasn' t seen some excellent games on all platforms, many deserving of various accolades and awards. And I' m quite sure each system has at least one game making bid for that covenant GOTY. However, when I look back on this year in gaming I really can' t think of any game that have flat out blown me away. No game that has indefinitely proven itself to be superior to its competetors. No game that has really broken any new grounds or left behind a legacy other games will have to follow. There have been some good games released, no doubt. But I don' t think there is any 1 game (or 2 or 3 for the matter) that I' d be willing to give GOTY to. It just doesn' t seem worth it IMO.

Halo 2 alone will make up for last year' s lackluster year.  USA OK !

I feel ya on the whole no stand out games comment. I for one think the two front runners, Zelda WW and Star Wars KOTR were given far too much credit than they deserved. They are both good games, but I dont compute the acclaim that both these titles have garnered.
