There' s nothing ok about that chick. She doesn' t look old, she' s just wayyy too manly to be attractive.

Well... some people find men attractive, it seems.

I say, let her do what she wants if she does her job well. In a way it' s ridiculous that people can' t do what they want to (legal stuff) in their free time if it doesn' t affect their work at all. People are such hypocritical bastards since many of them get very high morals under the right circumstances (aka when it suits them best).

And lots of people have been fired already because bosses are browsing through Myspace or Facebook these days. Reasons could be pictures, playing in a band which the boss doesn' t approve of, clothing style at home, personal thoughts etc.

It' s kind of interesting also that things went from : " Don' t put any personal information on the internet!" to " Here' s my husband, my house, the rooms in it, my hobbies,..."

This case reminded me of some Italian teacher that I read about a while ago. She lost her job because she had a little extra hobby as a porn actress :P But apparently she was a very good, professional teacher and they hadn' t had one single problem with her during all those years at the school so it didn' t affect her job in any way. But some student who happened to see it printed pictures and hung them all over school. Kind of low of him I think.

Actually, couldn' t he be punished for that? I think he was younger than 18 first of all and doing stuff like that at a public place isn' t really allowed either.

I guess the problem is jobs like being a teacher or mayor depend a lot on perceived public image. Yes personal life should stay separate to work, but if something compromises your public image work becomes difficult.

How could she expect her 16-18 male students to concentrate on her taught subject if they' d all just wanked to her movies the night before. " And 2+2 is? ...boobs.. I mean 4."

Yeah, it isn' t an easy situation I think. Especially if the person was very professional and a good addition to the working staff. It' s still kind of irrelevant in a way I think because, as you said, it' s all about perceived image. Most of the times problems like these arise because of some more or less hypocritical " high morals" from a few individuals. But when some politician steals money or does other corrupt things it isn' t as bad according to these same people. And most of the times they don' t even know of course what' s going on behind the scenes in top politics. So actually that person can' t be trusted more than the other who isn' t actually doing something illegal.

And that student should also face some consequences. Hanging up stuff like that in a public place isn' t allowed either I guess ;) Plus that it' s kind of an attack against her person. There are places though with similar cases where thet got to keep their jobs. There' s even one in EU politics here.
