Killzone E32005 touted as in game, ps3 can so 1080p on 2 HDTV simultaneously, 360 is only a 1.5x upgrade where as ps3 is a 2x upgrade, All those ports (that have promptly disappeared off the console), Spring 2006 launch, followed by worldwide launch by Q4 2006, and 2million launch units.

All this has been effectively proven as BULL$#!T.

I think that the only truthful thing they have stated is the price, although with only 500k launch units in US & Japan this might also prove false.

BTW how do they hope to catch up to Wii and 360 with such a poor start? By the time they reach 2million ps3 Wiis would have sold around 4million and 360 about 8+million. Its not like Nintendo and microsoft are going to wait until sony catches up, there going to ramp up production even further and iron out manufacturing issues and rub salt into the wounds. Unless sony is going to build more factories to increase ps3 production (which i doubt considering how much they lose per console sold), there is no way (IMO) they can catch up.

Fortunately all of the launch games suck and I dont want one this year anyway.
I will probably try to get one but I wont camp out at a store or anything for it.

You know even though I didn' t trust what Sony said, I actually DID believe they would be able to sort of keep up with demand better then the 360 did for the first couple of months...looks like I was wrong

But hey, I think I was correct that Sony (as a whole) is probably going to be stubbling around looking for money if these PS3s are killing thier pocketbook.

I don' t know if this was the case but remember when there was a poll were they asked Japanese people were asked whether the price of the ps3 was excessive. The majority indicated the price was too high for their liking. do you think thats another reason why they got ' shafted' by sony? I mean thats not even a quarter allocation. What are they thinking?

Did they have a poll in the US and ask the same question? Maybe US gamers are more willing to fit the US$600+ bill more then sonys own country men.

It' s funny how many people believe the bullsh*t that these guys throw out. They are masters of the smoke and mirrors strategy, and I' ll give them credit for that!

First, they' re gonna launch in the spring of 2006; which they KNEW was a f*ckin lie! They just said that to take away some of the thunder from the 360 launch.

Then they' re gonna have 2 million units available for a WORLDWIDE launch by Christmas?! Well, .5 million to two territories is kinda the same thing... isn' t it?

The whole, going from two HDMI ports for dual 1080p to no games available in 1080p at launch (maybe ever), is just icing on the cake!

Sony' s screwed themselves with this one. Their home country japan is only getting 100 k and North america is getting 500 k but none for EU? I dont live their but i still think thats pretty harsh to the sony fans in EU, especially after they said they would have a golobal launch with wutever million consoles they said. i dont see how sony is going to sell anything. I say Jap. will go to nintendo. EU will prob. go to Microsoft and it will prob. be pretty close with NA.
