Sega working on surprise title

Sega has something big in the works, but they aren’t letting on as to what it is. Managing Director Hideki Okamura said that Sega has plans to release a big title that will surprise everyone, and Japan will see it before the end of the year. No information was given on the title, and no specific platform was announced either…so we are left to speculate.

It' s going to be something kind of out of left field. Golden Axe, or some old beloved Japanese manga license that few people in the west have heard of.

Uggh, I' ve become jaded by Sega...

I bet its some crappy 2d Ds game you never heard of and only will be launched in Japan.

Course it will sell millions in mere seconds and have a Ridiculously long Name.

NiGHTS DS could be cool.

If there is a god it' s Shenmue III. If not then SEGA just trying to rescue their reputation from the pits.

It is not Golden Axe...
Because Golden Axe has already announced for Xbox 360 and PS3...

Toy commander for dreamcast was amazing, so was the original sonic adventures 1 and 2 other than that i think quality in SEGA games is diminishing (monkey ball banana blitz sucked) so dont get your hopes up......

I wouldn' t want Shenmue for the Wii. TOTALLY the wrong system.

Yeah, the only thing I can think of (and hope for) is Shenmue 3. I hope that it' s not like Virtua Fighter 5 Evolution or some other enhancement to the same game.

If it is S3 though, I agree with you Joe, it better not be for the Wii, total mistake!

It looks like it' s a game for the DS, i' m thinking Nights 2.
I thought Nights 2 was going to be on the Wii.

I was thinking maybe a Panzer Dragoon Saga 2,
Skies of Arcadia 2 or even Shenmue 3 coming earlier, but no it has to be for the DS.
DS is cool but i was thinking like some UBER GAME WAS COMING.

For a start, this quote comes from a *Sonic Team* staff member.

Second, I *know* NiGHTS for Wii is on internal schedules for 2007 but we decided not to do a big story about it since we can' t prove it (look where it got us last time). So it may or may not be NiGHTS Wii that they are referring to, but Sonic Team is definitely working on it.

Wouldn' t Panzer Dragoon stuff be under SmileBit? I' m not sure whether Sega still owns the rights, but SmileBit contains most of the original PD staff and made Panzer Dragoon Orta for the Xbox...

SmileBit promised more Panzer Dragoon =/ But looks like it' s all silent now...

NiGHTS remade for Wii will be awesome. Although i' d like a DS version too

Im lazy and havent read up on much of Sega' s workings but is this the surprise title or just a randome title recently announced?

EDIT: Nevermind this is an announcement from Sega of America and Europe.

Still we don' t know what it will be and when Sega will announce it.

BTW Managing Director Hideki Okamura is from Sonic Team
but this doesn' t mean that this game should be a game from Sonic Team
because he says that Sega is working on a new game not Sonic team is
working on a new game, lol!(well, maybe...just said this because
I don' t want to see that it is going to be a new Nights without Yuji Naka)
