Yup - Johnny pretty much has the idea. It was a decent way of spreading the word about our vids.

I like this 'use your own picture as your avatar' thing. Everybody should do it.

Hey I started that like so long ago with my eyeless pic!

Owell I'm gonna go the other direction as my mug has been next to my posts long enough.

We are planning a video comeback and would love to do video reviews etc. Just a question of resources, money, ROI, etc. And I agree the Gamersyde guys are great...

The videos on Gamersyde and Gametrailers are badass... and i like the way Gametrailers video reviews are done... but i think the GameSpot video reviews have more personality.

1up, IGN and (heh...) GameSpot have these highly active and visible staff members. They're more personal. Other sites have a name tagged onto a review. No face... no voice... no nothing. 1up's roundtable discussions annoy the hell out of me, but they're a fantastic idea and they work.

Every videogame website should have video reviews to accompany their text reviews, and i personally think every site should capture their own screenshots.

I don't like review scores... which is why Gamersydes First 10 Minutes videos have such appeal. You get to see things like the loading times and framerate for yourself.

In fact... fuck it... i'm going to embrace reviews and start doing my own.

I'll shoot them in my apartment. Me... and 5 Hasidic Jews (them dressed in their traditional garb) sat on my couch dissecting new releases with my girlfriend walking around in the background wearing just stockings and suspenders and Matisyahu playing on the stereo!
