IGN and TeamXbox Fable Reviews - Aug 27, 2004 17:43
http://xbox.ign.com/articles/542/542632p1.aspx

(follow link at end of IGN article to take you to TeamXbox' s article).

IGN- 9.3
TeamXbox- 9.1

IGN says it' s " not the greatest RPG of all time" and " it' s not even the best RPG on Xbox," (I' m assuming they mean KotoR here), but clearly, it' s still darn good.

I' ve heard SO much praise for the game and yet the ONLY thing I know about the game itself is how to spell its title. :D

Anyways those are some darn good scores! I' m interested in seeing how EGM scores the game despite them having less credibility than before!!

See No Evil, Hear no Evil ;)

Besides, my tunnel vision is leading me down a narrow pathway from Gradius V to Virtua Fighter Cyber Generations to Outrun 2 to Viewtiful Joe 2. Overlooking all of the pedestrians(other games) on the side...

I think the bigger issue here is that Fable has been clocked at 10-20 hours long!?!

Man, I think I got something to say about that.

Hmm, the IGN review is very-very positive though.

The only thing I know about Fable is that it is an Xbox RPG. That' s it. I clicked on the IGN link and looked at some of the graphics. They look awful. The character' s head is gigantic. The grphics style is not at all appealing. You can tell this is not a Japanese game. Looks like one of those Might & Magic style games that was developed in the US or UK. Yech.

lotusson: According to all the sources I' ve seen, the game can be finished in 22 hours if you fly right through it and do nothing but all plot-advancing activities. If you do everything, it can easily go upwards of 40 hours. Plus, there are apparently loads of secrets and by playing as good or evil does indeed change the game a bit.

Joe: Those pics are horrible. Notice that they ended up giving the graphics a 9. If you' ve played KotoR, that' s probably about how it' s going to look (same developers), and that' s pretty darn good.

As for me, I don' t like the length either, especially considering all the hype about how epic it was going to be, but hopefully, it' s just long enough.
