First VF5 360 screens... - May 02, 2007 19:24

I think history dictates that we won' t see that much of an improvement... Or
history could be wrong, but as far as bad screens go, these look REALLY bad..

It' s nice to see SEGA fighting AM2 though, a nice friendly in-house match. Mm-hm.

I might pick up the PS3 version when I get my PS3 after all..

Every single SEGA released VF5 screenshot where the characters are anything but stationary, have been awful.

They won' t improve much anyway, just add proper anti-aliasing. I can' t see them doing anything else with the game as far as the visuals are concerned.

I heard they' re adding analog stick control though. Probably because the 360 d-pad sucks ass...[:' (]

But meh, they' re still not adding online play so i have no reason to buy the 360 version as i already own the PS3 version.

Oh and Tiz, you didn' t get your PS3??? I though you were getting one at launch with a friend???

Yeah, I was supposed to, but then he pulled out. So I' m just gonna buy one myself
when Sigma is released.

I was playing Genji the other day and the graphics are amazing, but controls are
pretty damn awful and the gameplay is slow.

With regards to VF5, you can tell that so far the 360 version is inferior graphically
even through screenshots, and the fact that there is no online play means there' s
no point.

I do have to say though playing VF5 as well on the PS3, there really is no need for rumble when you have a kick ass subwoofer cranked up to max, and if you' re
playing as or against Akira, you' re set..

The game is pretty deep, as it' s my first taste of prolonged VF exposure.

While it is Ninja Gaiden, and Ninja Gaiden = Awesome, the Demo actually left me feelign... Meh.

Both Graphics and Gameplay had only minor uppgrades from the original XBox game, IMO.

On a side note: did anyone do the sigma demo on very hard, i keep getting raped...

As for VF, i thought iwas getting online for 360, that or i was told incorrectly (wouldn' t be surprised) as for the IQ doesn' t look bad to me

Them screens look little weird.

Through HDMI, Vf5 on Ps3 looks and runs absolutely beautiful. The classic SEGA-style deep vivid colours and the best motion capture animations make it one of the best looking games so far.

So im sure, (through your Elites) Vf5 will look the shit.

Especially with rounded off AA.

BTW.

VF5 online

The animation frame - to stick counter runs at 60 points per second (matching it' s framerate).. Impossible to run online. unless you had a 100mbit connection each way, at least.

Um, pokemon is for fags, idiot.

Anyway, those screens look about right. 360 kids are used to fighting games starting girls with ridiculous figures (Tripe D breast Ninjas, yeah, totally realistic).

While we' re making gross generalizations, I' d like to add that only child molestors play golf video games.

You wouldn' t need nearly that. All that really matters for that is latency. It is the same way for pretty much every game.

To me Virtua Fighter has never been about graphics so I won' t mind if the 360 version looks less impressive than the PS3 version. As long as the gameplay is intact I' m glad since more people get to enjoy the game... like me

I before E dude. Except after C...

And Virtua Fighter, like Tekken, is best played against strangers in a dark, noisy, smoky arcade.

360 gamers..

Pc gamers usually turn graphics down in favour for better framerates.

Agreed, reason why Vf5 didnt sell well in Japan. Vf5 machines are everywhere.

I planned to buy VF5, but ever since that queer F3 changed his name to it, I just have a mental block about it.
