My mum yesterday asked me if I could create a website for her tennis club
i have NO idea where to start!
any of you done this before??

If you want something that is easy to do try freewebs.com. It is relatively easy to use and does not have many annoying advertisements. If you want something even easier you could try geocities.com or tripod.com, but they have a lot of annoying advertisements.

If you don' t know anything about it and your moms club wants a really professional site then I suggest they hire someone to do it. Someone who' s a little experienced with layout and stuff.
It shouldn' t be too hard to find some semi-skilled dumbass who' ll do it for basically nothing.
I know of this guy, Adam Doree, who apparently runs some kinda shit website. Try asking him. He' s probably not making a single cent so I bet you can get him to work for you for a low fee.

Become a whiz in HTML.

I' d do it but I know I' m too lazy to ever get around to finishing it.

i no what ur saying, but they want to MAKE money advertising on the site so would want to spend as little as possible on creating it!

How does free sound?

Go with freewebs, & I' m almost positive if you spend a tiny bit of money you can get the www.FREEWEBS.yourwebsite.com part removed and just have www.lolmymomsclubwebpage.com or whatever.

As far as advertising goes, very few people are going to stumble across a local tennis club site on the internet. Check out pages on the web based in your area, (email your city website' s webmaster, local businesses & see if they' ll link you.)Otherwise you' re going to get next to no traffic to your webpage.

If it makes you feel any better though, you can put a link on the forums.

Edit: LOL! I love it when it does that to imaginary webpages.

They are not going to make money off of it. It takes about 1000 unique visitors a day to make $50 a month. That kind of site isn' t going to get enough traffic.
