This doesn' t mean the Falcon models are unreliable, it just means the 360' s have a high failure rate. We already knew this. I' m actually surprised GameStop haven' t done this sooner.

The warrenties are normally a good money maker for these game stores. They were losing a tone of money with the 360' s being returned.

It doesn' t prove the elites are faulty. The fact that their GPUs aren' t 65nm yet does lead me to think that they' re going to have issues, spare heat-sink or not.

It doesnt make sense for them to get rid of the warranty, but still keep the console. I mean, who in their right mind is going to buy a 360 from gamestop with no store warranty, when they could get one with the warranty from Wal-mart

It makes perfect sense. They were losing money selling warrenties. Furthermore retailers hardly make a profit off the hardware anyways, it' s all about the games, especially with Gamestop.

What I' m saying is that it doesnt make sense to get rid of the warranty, but still sell the console when everywhere else still offers the store warranty.
