Internet Explorer 7.0 - Jan 29, 2007 18:58
I don' t know if you have posted about it before but whatever.
I just downloaded it and... it sure looks different.
It uses tabs like Forefox and alike. And the text looks much smoother. Very cool.

Yeah I have it. It sure is an improvement but I won' t be changing from Firefox anytime soon.

I saw this to download. But the look and ideas may have came from its rival Firefox.

It sure is an improvement but I won' t be changing from Firefox anytime soon.

Ditto.

I prefer IE 7 over firefox, firefox seems slower to me and I can' t get used to the interface.

Yeah I posted something about this several months ago. It is a lot better than IE6 but Opera and Firefox are better.

Why? Everyone says they are better but no one has told me why they prefer the others. It seeems to me everyone prefers the others simply because it' s not Microsoft.

No, Firefox is much easier and more efficient than IE for doing just about anything

IE 7 sucks big time.....

Firefox delivers a much " rounder" and " smoother" usage.

Its kinda hard to explain how Fire fox is better than IE. You have to try it for yourself

I have both, but Firefox annoys me. It' s slower and I hate the interface, I see no features or any reason to make the effort to get used to it.

Same here. The only reason I even have firefox is as an alternate, in case IE gets infected or something.

I can tell you why Opera is better.
Faster and easier to use:
mouse gestures
voice
better tabs interface
faster
more secure
better resource management
widgets
appearance

I could go on but just download it and try it. http://www.opera.com
Most people that use firefox haven' t even tried opera or they are sluts for open source. (the others are just dumb)

The main difference is that not every popular site is firefox / opera compatible. Unfortunately most site designer find it easier to use IE rather than 3rd party browsers. In some cases it is laziness and in others it is because of limitations. All 3 are equally resource hungry and will react to the environment being used in different ways, Firefox on 1 machine may be slower than on another machine etc. However the best thing to do is to download them try them and see which one suits you, there is no " This is better or that is worse." It all comes down to personal preference.

Right before everyone starts panicing, unless you are still using XP without any service packs or just SP1 then yes this could happen, also the person making the company making the film supply...anyone....yes you guessed it INTERNET SECURITY software so they will scaremonger you to buy their software. This proves nothing to do with which is best IE, Firefox or Opera, all it goes to show is that you need to make sure you have the latest service packs, and that you use, Internet security measures.

Yep. I' m Anti Microsoft. If i had a choice i' ll prefer a Mac, my only downfall would be gaming.
But seriously other than than, Opening many browsers with IE would lead to my flash pluggin failing an all IE windows failing. Browsing is Much more faster than my IE,
and at times IE runs scripts when entering certain websites.
All end Firefox has cooler, extensions ,skins, pluggins that other browsers just don' t have.

Not fond of IE 7.0 myself. It' s a little too simplified for my tastes.

I' ll stick to my crusty inneficient IE 6.0 thanks.

But Opera takes an estimated 1hr 19min to download from their main site.

...

It was a 5mb file.

Thats wierd, took me about 20 seconds. Maybe you need to select a different download location.

The simplicity is the main reason I' m liking 7.0. Basically all I want my browser to do is open the page I want and leave me alone. Plug-ins and stuff just piss me off.

Opera sucks. That' s why they made it free, no one wants to pay for that shit.

IE7 is a rip off of Firefox and it still sucks.

I' m sticking with Firefox.

That' s funny considering the majority of the features from Firefox and IE were copied from Opera.

The reason they made Opera free is because they can make more money with google ads.
