Yeah, I thought it was for soccer as well...it' s a good thing it' s not because I know nothing of soccer, haha.

Anyways my team that I follow religously is the Tennessee Titans. I had to wait years to get a team here, and now that we have one I' m happy. I usually go to about 2 games a year...maybe even more this year as a friend' s dad has season tickets in the clubhouse sections and told me I could go to the games with his son.

Then the news about the NHL going under wasnt the best for ya, but I think that just affects US. I know my G/F hated the news. Im not a big fan of hockey, but I dont thinks its a total bore neither however its alot more repetitive then some sports.

Yeah in terms of Aerican sports I' d prefer the NBA or NHL to NFL anyday of the week, sure football is full of big hits and touchdowns but man oh man all those breaks make it about as exciting as watching astroturf grow

Alley Hater: Those weren' t college teams dude, lol, they were soccer teams.

Smiarias: Yeah, the breaks in the NFL are a little harsh sometimes. I still think to fully enjoy the game you' ve got to show up at the stadium and be a part of the crowd. I' m sure that' s the same for...er, football. Also, I love the NBA as well, but I' m not big on the NHL and MLB. I' ve heard that NHL and MLB games are great to go to but we' ve only got the Nashville Predators, who look to be getting better every year I might add.

Every year it seems Tennessee sports keep getting bigger and bigger. We' ve sold out for every game since our opening at Adelphia, and the Predators are finally getting some recognition from the surrounding area and media. The only thing I' m worried about is the Grizzlies. Why the hell would you place an NBA team in that far, far, far away place. It' s like driving to Florida from where I live...7 hours! It' s too bad they couldn' t do it in Nashville as we do have several places to put them.

Go ChArGeRsSsS, just wait till you see QB Phillip Rivers in action, plus, LaDanian Tomlinson made a record as running back as 1000 ft rushing plus 100 receptions! yea! i can see some spark, they might even make it to the play-offs this year

The best thing San Diego was draft Tomlinson, but you' ve managed to fuck up every draft after, lol. I hope Phillip Rivers is good for you guys because...well, the Titans never play the Chargers unless in the SB...

I don' t think this year is the year for the Chargers. As long as they bring Rivers along a little better than Leaf (and who' s to say he could have been saved) they should be in good shape. I' m not familiar on your cap situation there but it seems to me that you have a long ways to go before you have a SB team. It appears you guys are going the KC way and trying to make a great offense, and a decent defense. For that to work I think you guys need a better O-line, and definately a better WR corp.

It' s kind of crazy with the Titans. We started out with a dominating defense, and an average offense. Now over the years our D seems to only stop the run (watching Jamal Lewis get nowhere in the playoffs brought a tear to my eye), and our offense is taking off.

Also, I think I may have put my foot in my mouth. We play the Chargers this year in San Diego, lol. Anyways, I' m going to recommend that you memorize this name for that game...Calico. I' ve got a good feeling about him this year as he showed some true greatness last year. All the coaches agree that he' s had a great offseason constantly working on catching the ball.

I just got tickets today for the Jags game. I also bought 4 for the Atlanta scrimmage in the hopes of many autographs, and maybe one by Vick himself.

It' s FOOTBALL SEASON!!!! This is the place for you to put down your guesses and expectations in the NFL. With my hometeam, the CHargers, beating out the Houstan Texans 27-20 in a spectacular game and considering their 4-12 season the previous year and rookies, I expect a fair record for them this year, maybe 9-7, that record is good enough for the playoffs provided other teams lose badly . I expect the Patriots (yes, them again) and Greenbay to go to the super bowl.

immortaldanmx,

Are you a Saint Louis fan? That' s cool (either way).

My favorites are:

Football - The Rams (but I loved the 49' ers when Montana was QB)
Baseball - STL Cardinals
Hockey - Da' Blues!!! ...and I agree with Sharon - hockey rules!!!
Basketball - Haven' t watched much since Jordan left Chicago... no real extraordinary talent these days...Jordan was da' bomb!!!
Soccer - Love watching just about any two teams, but the STL Steamers were my favorite.

Even know it' s not a team-based sport:
Golf - Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Fuzzy Zeller(?), and a few others...nice way to relax on the weekend.
Videogaming is the contemporary interactive pasttime.

I have no idea what SpeedFreak just posted.
Anyways, I anticipated football posts, and either 1) you guys don' t like football or 2)you guys don' t live in the US or 3)both. But I' m going to stay positive and keep expecting that someone will jump out of the hole.

Football in the UK is soooo over-rated I feel. I' m not a big fan of it. If I were I' d have killed myself already, the way Leeds United performed last season. I don' t even know or care how we' re doing in Division 1. *sobs*
