I watched part of it but can' t handle watching it in such low rez... damn you IGN. It' s the same as what I saw at E3 but looking even better now (didn' t think they could push it much more but they did!) which is awesome! I got to chat with the creative direcotr that narrates this demo. He wouldn' t tell me anything more about the game, but we did talk about System Shock 2 and how happy he is to make a spiritual sequal. We were having a good little chat until the 2K guys came in and kicked me out so other journalists could see the game. Damn them.

Oh god it' s so fuckin amazing!

This build has some visual glitches (like sudden lightning change or water over enemies effects) and no AA , but it' s style and moody enviroments are fuckin mindblowing.IT IS FUCKIN UNBELIEVABLE.

I' ve seen the 720p version and it seems like they didn' t try to make this game ultra sharp.It' s pretty smooth looking actually.

It is the best use of next gen technology I' ve seen yet.Just a bit more polish here adnd there (it' s still some kind of beta) and we have ourselves a winner.Technically GOW is more impressive (Bio uses UE2.5) , but it is far behind in overall look and mood.

There' s a 300mb per file limit so there' s no way I could upload it :(

Bioshock has never been on my radar mainly because I automatically dismissed it as one of those fill the void titles but have to say i' m liking the idea behind it along with a lot of other stuff. I' m worried now because I think i' m getting into shooters more than iv' e ever been.

If you want a hint at how great it will be, play System Shock 2. It still scares me today despite being 8 years old.

Looks interesting.. but the typical western-developed Jerk-o-vision is has put me off the 360 version.. Anyway early next year i' ll be upgrading my PC into a multi-core beast..

...just watched the walkthrough at GV, and i' m very impressed... ...not just graphically, but the whole premise and the general situation in bioshock' s world...

.....i really, REALY hope the x360 version looks and runs as smoothly as what were seeing here (PC version?).....

I' m pretty sure we were seeing the 360 version in action. Y,B,A,X are all on the HUD and at the beginning he moves the camera only along the X axis (suggesting it' s a 360 pad).

edit: IGN have it listed as Spring 2007.

I' m kinda concerned that those Splicer ladies are the general/main gun-fodder we' ll run into though =/ Even screenies I' ve seen seem to show that character alone, with not much or totally no variation in the models...

Buuut, only a demo, and the first few levels, so still optimistic

If only you could actually SEE your character. One thing was that you' d have the moral choice to use those gene-splicing plasmids and stuff, and you' d morph and mutate just like the residents of Rapture.

But if you can' t SEE yourself changing, I doubt anyone would care if they look ugly (unless we get mirror surfaces or something)

....i can' t imagine there not being any mirrors....

....but i see your point... ...especially from an interaction point of view... ....why would you care about your appearance if there is (seemingly) hardly any conversational interaction with the games citizens and stuff?.....

.....and it' s true that we have only seen three types of inhabitants (Splicer, Protectors and little sisters) there must be soooooooooooo much more which has yet to been revealed about this game....

...is that spring release date official?... ...i know IGN will post practically any random crap when it comes to next-gen release dates...

...spring is too soon for a title as ambitious as this...
