September 20, 2006 - The kids at Famitsu have managed to score the early scoop on the PlayStation 3' s Japanese launch. There aren' t too many surprises at this point, but we' re sure you' re interested in hearing what' s official anyway.

On 11/11, the Japanese launch date for the PS3, Sony and its third parties will deliver the following titles:

Mahjong Fight Club (Konami, 5229 yen)
Genji 2 (tentative name, SCEJ)
Gundam: Target in Sight (Bandai Namco)
Ridge Racer 7 (Bandai Namco)
Sega Golf Club (Sega)

The magazine also lists Koei' s Mahjong Taikai as set for a November release, although without a specific date.

This is not necessarily a final list, of course. It' s likely that more launch titles will come to light in the coming weeks.

Another Reason to get 360

I' ll sum them up:

1.no other next gen system till december 8th in Europe
2.many good games
3.more good games coming

It sold out everywhere i think. I couldn' t get over how awesome the pad was with it' s funky analog stick. The game just didn' t have that awkward stiff Playstation platform game feel (pre-dual analog controller).

But what' s going to sell PS3 here?! RR7?! The Japanese will love it but where' s Resistance, or MotorStorm, or Rainbow Six: Vegas?!

I think many expected the all mighty ps3 to launch with some mind blowing games. But in a way this will look good for the 360. People will realise the ps3 is not so superior. For one thing theres not an rpg on the ps3' s launch line up, but there' ll be blue dragon on the 360 along with lost odyessey demo for download. This is all very exciting!!!

Well i certainly wasn' t saying that it' s something to look forward to, it' s just always been penned as a launch title. All they' re launching with is RR7, a no doubt crap Gundam game and that stupid giant monster crab game.
