My favorite sound has an AO rating....

My SECOND favorite is that miniscule whistle/whine that all electronics make when you power them on. Not the fans, the sound of the circuit board powering up.

I guess after a decade of doing repair work I equate that sound to success.

I enjoy the sound of explosions.

My least favorite sound is any sound a baby makes. I hate babies!

I love the sound of a woman saying " yes" .

Actually, I like the sound of rain, as well. I think most people do. It' s just very soothing. Of course thunderstorms are even better!

Come to think of it, I love the sound of a woman saying, " ride me like a pony" .

Though, I have never heard that in person!

No idea, I don' t watch that show (but somehow I do know who sevenofnine is...).
Anyway, isn' t it the smallest particle possible (if you disregard string theory)? Atoms are made of neutrons, positrons and electrons which in turn are made of quarks.
And according to string theory those are made of.. well strings.
I don' t know if it' s called quarks in english (or if any of the other mentioned particles are correct english) but in swedish they are. " Kvarkar" we say.

In Soviet Russia, forum topic sidetracks YOU!!!

Mine is a close call between the MGS:2 theme, windchimes filled with water, and 20 pound gold bricks dropping out of a pocket in front of you. Unfortunately, that last one is becoming increasingly rare as the days go by.

Favorite sounds:

A). redtop dohc 16v hitting the redline doing 140mpg
B). a dumpvalve on my old 25 year old cav as a sail past a scooby.
C). anything by yuzo koshiro. I would bear his children if he asked me to.
D). SAAEY-GAA! DC Swirl, THX, Any kewl idents!
E). Any music I write which I end up not hating.

Can we do smells?

Petrol, CREOSOTE!, Freshly laid tarmac, the smell of a hot brand new megadrive (any technology that has that new smell), new car smell, vanilla magic trees.

Or sound & smell combos: Waking up on the beach, realising your on holiday. Doing a 1/4 mile run with the smell of burning rubber as you floor the pedal as the lights change!

I love the sound of a muffled explosion..

And a Sonic Boom.

One sound that has managed to lodge itself sideways in the back of my brain is
the sound of when someone signs in on X-box live; I hear it everywhere!!
