Uploading picture just won' t work - Jan 19, 2006 00:56
Okay, at first I thought I didn' t know what I was doing and maybe it is so but can the staff help me on this please? I' ve tried to upload pics and it always fails. I' ve followed the rules, 230x230 and less than 200 kb in size and it still won' t upload (I' ve done this before with other forums and it has worked so it' s nothing on my end I don' t think). I get this all the time:

Can anyone clarify on this? maybe the staff? Thank you in advance.

***Oh yeah i forgot to mention. this is about the avatar option where i can upload my own pic.

....yeah, most people get the same problem dude....

...it' s another example of the ... errr ....... umm... ...unique?... ...*coughforumsoftwarecough*....

...ever notice how your signature never shows up on the bottom of posts?..... same type of... ....*coughlazysiteprogrammingcough*.....

...... i was pissed too because i wanted to upload my own avatar.... ...most other sites allow this, so why not here? ...their predefined avatars are ok, but encouraging a little individualism might make the site more of a livelier place?......

.....i dunno..

...maybe you should start a avatar protest or something.....

lol, no need for that. I' m sure terry or adam or someone else will read this, but if everyone else is having the same problem then why not write about it??? This way the staff knows that everyone is concerned about this prob? SO please if u tried to upload ur avatar but failed in doing so, write here and ask the staff to fix it. thank you in advance to everyone, and the staff.

Trust me, the staff already know. Do what everyone else does and email your avatar to Adam Doree and he' ll put it on Kikizo' s avatar site for you to upload from there. I know, I know, it' s a pain in the ass, but what the hell!

Yeah sorry about this being broken. Fixing this sort of thing seems complicated and scary. :(

Please email avatars to avatar@kikizo.com.

We deliberately disallow signatures, they' re bulky and annoying and we want the pages to be clean and conducive to good chat.

We may upgrade software very soon...
