Someone said that SUVs are safer, BS! People think they are because they are bigger but the survival rate from people who are involved in an accident in SUVs are actually lower then those in other cars. Actually while we' re on the subject a fellow high school student of mine died in an SUV accident (he was in the SUV). I spoke with him just minutes befor the accident. He was driving home from the after grad at 7:00 in the morning (about 50 of us stayed up all night incuding him and myself) so he was tired as Hell, anyways he hit a curb an rolled the SOB 7 times, he was wearing his seatbelt but that didn' t prevent him from going brain dead.

Dude, if you flip a any vehicle 7 times and don' t die, you' re lucky as hell with or without a seat belt. SUV' s are safer because they can take more damage. You guys can tell me I' m wrong but my dad worked for State Farm Insurance for 25 years. HE knows the safety stuff.

I say Nascars are the safest vehicle made. I want roll bars and a cage. What other goodies can I pack in my car to make it safe? How about those x seatbelts? Ahh...if I was only a millionaire. Try driving those down a highway at regular speeds. You would totally be the one walking away from a crash since you won' t be going 200 mph.

SUVs make the roads more dangerous for OTHER drivers. It' s one of the reasons I feel people who drive them are more inconsederate of others on the road (besides the fact that most of them drive like they own the bastard.)

But I digress. People will drive what they will. I' ve said my piece. I get a little carried away sometimes, Rampage99, but I just want people to consider the impact that even the smallest decisions that they make have on the people directly around, and far from them.

I all actuallity some of the worst drivers drive SUVs. they know they can' t drive but think they can. They go out and buy a huge beast of a vehicle thinking its safe. Once they get comfortable and think they are safe, they quit paying ttention to thier driving. That' s what causes so many accidents with SUVs. I work at a car dealership and I drive all types of cars. SUVs are the ones that do seem the best built. The problem is because of their massive wieght and high center of gravity they require a different style of driving. A lot of guys I work with just drive them around like cars and constatly f*ck up.

Oh and in response to this-

Yeah try flipping an Intrepid 7 times.

My best friend' s friend died doing just that.

Now that I think about it I' m not too sure why I' m so pissed about gas prices, I don' t even own a f' ing car. I think it relates to the fact that the cost of living keeps going up but the minimum wage is stagnant, the rich get richer the poor get poorer and the middle class is supporting the whole system after being scared shitless from seeing the poor.

Last I saw, gas was running at $2.65 per gallon.

Not bad after seeing $3.29 not all that long ago!

(but maybe that' s what they want...for drivers to accept the somewhat-higher prices after being exposed to the outrageously-high prices! Think about it!!!)

Love that picture, Sharon!

With hurricane Rita on its way, prices have begun to rise once again...
