I love the mixes over at OCR. I have never been to vgmusic before though. I shall go check it out when i get some time.

Interestingly enough... I found the link to Kikizo over at OCR way back when. And now I am here and not there.

Rikka, I used to moderate the OCR forums and I also used to be on the judges panel (who approve/reject every remix submission). When the IQ of the average member dropped below 42, I got bored and only visited like once every 2 weeks or so. I was removed from the judges panel and then later removed as mod, and it took me so long to notice! I prefer smaller forums with smarter people. I don' t mind new members, just as long as the new members are good ones. Personally I think the reason for all the losers at OCR is simply due to the UNMODERATED forum. I tried to talk DJP out of it when we were setting the forums up (this was when a whole bunch of remixers decided to " leave" OCR) and DJP really wanted a section without moderation. I suggested the Unmoderated forum as well as its name and immediately it became a breeding ground for losers. Ug.

Ha ha! No. There was a specific forum set up which mods had no control over. It is actually called UNMODERATED. It is a haven for pictures of guys stretching their asses open, Japanese girls going diarrhea on themselves, etc. Wonderful community they' ve got going there.

I have known about vgmusic.com and often used it, for many years now

It would be good to have an MP3 version like that - but then of course there' d be copious Copyright issues. Perhaps publishers could agree to an MP3.com / iTunes / Napster download format where you pay to download from a massive archive of game OSTs.

We can dream, at least...

That forum was incredibly juvenile and DISGUSTING.. I was almost severely traumatized when I entered it long ago. lol.. Everything described above and I think it also had women throwing up on each other? ARGH@!!!!

Oh I' m sure you did. You never know what you' re gonna get.

As for game music MP3' s, there is Sky Lagoon torrents. Sometimes the site isn' t working (like as I write this) but overall it is pretty reliable. If it is against the rules to post the link, then feel free to delete or edit my post.

WE BUILT THIS CITY ON ROCK & ROLL :D

There are a bunch of others I really like as well:

" Is this Love" by Whitesnake (I think)
" Broken Wings"
" You' re the inspiration"
" Headed for a Heartbreak"
" Glory of love"
" Oasis"
" Will you still love me" by Chicago
" You' re not alone" by Chicago
" Livin on a Prayer" by Bon jovi
" Who can it be now"
" All out of love" (not sure if this is 80s, drums didn' t sound like awesome 80s drums)
" Take on me"
" Shout"
" I just died in your arms tonights"

There are few others that I need to download and give a good listen to!

Actually after thinking about it and re-listening to the 80s tracks I downloaded from ' da' Real music store I' ll have to go with Game music first and then 80s music second because most of the anime music I really like sound sort of 80ish in a way. Like the Bubblegum Crisis series, the majority of the tracks consist of cool Rock sounds with an 80ish feel.. Also the ending theme of Fatal Fury The Motion Picture is definitely 80ish..
