How you ever managed to find a quote of me not on a tirade about how something is garbage is beyond me. Bravo, and even without the member quotes it's still a good article.

You could have pulled a quote i'd sworn in... geez...

Oh and Edwin... you're ever so very wrong about God of War III...

That may be true, but it is refreshing to hear someone question some of this years most hyped games.

Only because you keep turning me down, emofag hun.

Come on now, Nitro, I couldn't have your frightful swears hitting the frontpage. How ghastly.

Cheers dan. And I look forward to that "OMG hypocrisy" thread when we score Heavy Rain 11 out of 10...

He has a point. Demonroth only likes games on the Wii that are remakes of mediocre Saturn titles.

I don't see any quotes by me in there.  That is why the article fails.

It's not a big deal.

If I want somebody to read my stuff, I'll post it here on the forums. That way I know I'll get at least eight or nine unique visitors.

You should see the way this thing is going down on GAF. From some of the posts on there, you'd think I'd raped somebody's dog.

I've got a pretty obvious idea for a follow-up article - "[Insert Number] Games That Should Be Hyped". There will be forum quotage aplenty. Does anybody have any suggestions?

You wish.  Everyone on kikizo has been taken over by bots and Adam's slaves so as to keep up appearances.

I'm not sure any of those would qualify as underhyped :p The brand names alone give me adrenaline shakes.

You just said 'games that should be hyped' and all three of those games have 99% chance of greatness.

Probably because no Wii games were even worth putting on the list.

I meant stuff that's likely to pass under the radar despite its promise, like Zeno Clash, Muramasa and Love (MMO).

Keep 'em coming...

ah no quote from me, I guess I dont post often enough..

Anyway Maybe instead of doing stuff thats going to get hyped anyway maybe you should get some games that may fall under the rader but will be good and deserve hype.. unless I read into what you said wrong..

Anyway a few choices would be the likes of Mafia 2, the new remake silent hill game for the Wii, er... I dunno wait till e3???

Borderlands - I was intruiged by the original previews back in 2007, now some more info is coming through but I'm sort of in two minds about the new art style.  Incidentally PC gamer's upcoming article about it can be read here.

Yakuza 3 - As good as getting Shenmue 3?

Neotokyo - Only because I'm buying this techno-punk inspired Source mod on day one and the original soundtrack is just brilliant.

The Path - well this is actually out already, but I'm guessing the majority will have missed out.  Its less a game than it is an art piece.  Anyone who claims games can't be art should play this.  Its by the same people who did The Graveyard - a 'game' where you're sole objective was to make an old biddie walk to a bench in the middle of a graveyard (really really slowly), sit down, contemplate his own mortality while looking upon his former friends 6ft under, and then walk back out.  Might remember I made a thread about it a while back.

Anyway here's a review to get an idea about what The Path is:  http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/2009/03/22/the-path-review/1

Borderlands

Gearbox are my guilty pleasure.

I know deep down that they're really not the best of developers. But at the same time, a part of me has loved some component of every game they've developed.

As disappointing as Hell's Highway was, I'm looking forward to this.

The linear gameplay afforded it a frustrating tone. You wound up doing the same thing over and over and over again, out-trying your enemies, instead of outthinking them.

...Oh, and Nazis are damn good shots.

Yeah, Hell's Highway could have been better. I have high hopes for Aliens: Colonial Marine, though.

Tah for the recommendations. This is LOVE. I think it could be brilliant - one man project, indie appeal aplenty, manipulate level assets in real-time, watercolour visuals...
