Quantum of Solace Demo impressions

I have just finished the demo and i was left disapointed. Right from the start, this is far from the glorious golden eye as some magazines might lead you to believe. to its defence , the demo was very short, around 5 minutes so things might not be that bad when playing the full product but i doubt it would change much my opinion. as most of the flaws are not related to the demo but the core game itself.

The graphics are rather mediocre mostly even if it runs on the cod4 engine (i run it everyting on max with AAx4), the lightining specialy feel outdated and the only element that look great in the game are the enemies. Not to mention the cap on 30 fps though my pc could run that at 60 fps with ease.

controls are nothing like COD4, this feels a bit rubish , lousy controls that still need some tweaks. you can easily get stuck by an invisible obstacle on the ground and force you to do some jumping. weird but that bug hopefuly will get fixed as it happened so many times and it is quite appearent.

As for the gameplay, there is nothing special or impressive whatsoever, the level probably shown in the demo is terrible itself. you keep chasing a guy (that you can't reach) in some sewers until you reach a wide area, shoot the bad guys and resume chasing in the sewers. and the whole thing lasts for 5 min to the end

it might end up as a fun game , but from the demo i played, it doesn't seem good at alll.
