Everyone and their grandmother is going to be at my grandparents farm at around 5pm or so, then when it gets dark, fireworks FTW.

Do you guys get the movie Independance Day (Will Smith) playing on TV every 4th of July. We get it up here, without fail. Every fucking year. Turn on your TV, I bet it' s on right now.

Anyways, have fun with the same shit I just did three days ago. If you' re going to drink I recommend letting someone else handle the fireworks. Sometimes it' s difficult to gauge who drank too much, and everyone wants to set them up. We just make the kids arrange everything, since they' re less likely to drink.

You guys only have to watch it once a year? Hell, we have to watch it once a week.

What the fuck is a hershey bar?

Oreo' s... great... but other American food... not so great. And why do you call chocolate - candy? Chocolate isn' t candy.

Hershey bars come in two varieties, a solid bar of chocolate and chocolate with almonds. Hershey also make other brands of chocolates like the Hersey kiss(which is basically a really small version of a Hersey bar), kit kat bars, and Reese' s peanut butter cups. They' ve bought out several companies over the years that make things like gum and candies.

....I don' t know about the rest of the Americans, but I' ve always called chocolate, chocolate. I guess it could be like the soda VS pop debate.

I take it real fireworks are illegal in the UK. What about Canada though?

Hope you guys enjoyed it. My family decided the night before the 4th we were going to Disney World. Had a great time there and witnessed the greatest fireworks show I' ve ever seen. Might have to make a yearly thing out of that.

Tried to get into work on the Fourth, but it was only a half-assed attempt, as I didn' t feel much like getting off my ass. I dinked around on my modding desk, played some Led Zeppelin, and some CoD4.

I spent the fifth with Torr and my girlfriend, hangin' out. We had friends take a trip down to Ohio and pick up some shiny ' splodey things, and watched in amazement as one of them prematurely detonated in the tube.

I' m glad they provided a thick card tube, instead of the PVC we had. That would have inevitably become shrap.

In Canada firework laws are handled by the the Province in some cases by the municipality. I can buy them at corner stores where I live, don' t think you need to be 18 either. I hear them go off a few times a week.

Hersheys is one of the major chocolate/candy corporations in North America (I thought they were worldwide) that offers many different products.

I think Mars has the market cornered in the UK. Hershey' s is definitely an American staple chocolate.

Mars, Cadburys and Nestle are all big players in chocolate in the UK. Most US chocolate is awful compared to UK stuff, although I love Reese' s peanut butter cups.

Apparently the UK has wickedly high sugar levels in their candy compared to North America. I saw it on the Simsons, so it must be true. It' s a good way to control obesity, if you eat too much of the stuff you' ll fucking die.

Pretty sad that America has theme parks based on devouring chocolate. Shows what we teach our kids.

Quick useless fact from History channel: in America, the Hershey company actually makes Cadbury' s products. Personally, I rarely eat chocolate, but when I do its either Snickers, Twix, or M&M' s so I pretty much prefer Mars over anything.
