I am so buying this as soon as it becomes available!

The game seems to borrow/STEAL a few things from R-type and Gradius but that can only be a good thing if they steal the ideas

Not really surprising at all considering that up until a few years ago Saturn games were still being released in Japan, though, very low-key titles.

As for it ever being released in North America, not a bloody chance in hell!

Wow, that looks pretty cool! Obviously it is for kids only since it has colors and none of said colors are brown or gray. The video looked kind of interesting, I wish it let us know how the game sounded. Kind of looks a tad easy, but we' ll see. I expect constant updates on when and how to buy this!

It can be purchased/pre-ordered from NCS.

:P

I' m quite surprised though that there' s another DC game. I thought the one before this one would' ve been the last one. Since there had gone some time between it and the one before that. Too bad that they' re always shoot ' em ups though. Just for the sake of variety then ;)

I do kind of have to agree with that statement. It seems nobody is interested in making a non-shooter game. However you can count your lucky stars that it isn' t another top-down bullet-hell shooter. I figured that was the only kind of shooter they were allowed to make anymore. The fact that it is side-scrolling and non-bullet-hell has me interested.

Also true. It' s kind of different then ;)

I also suspect that many chose for a top-down shooter after Ikaruga was released on the DC.

What is even the point of making dreamcast games? Their games would reach a broader audience if made for PC or something like xbl arcade.

Same reason people still make games for the 2600, Intellivision, etc... love, fascination, obsession, satisfaction, amusement.

What really made me love the dreamcast was because of the shenmue series and soulcalibur. Shenmue still remains as my favourite game of all time and soulcalibur as my favourite fighting game.

So, am I the only person on this forum who found Shenmue boring?

Let' s just say, the original Shenmue didn' t make such a great first impression on me. In fact, I bought both the import version of Shenmue and Code Veronica and initially liked Code Veronica better. I didn' t really start to get into Shenmue until I got further into the game. The controls always felt a wee bit stiff.

To be honest I' m very happy that they' re always shooters, that only guarantees that I will buy the games .

And for some reason, by the late 90s, vertically scrolling shooters had completely overtaken horizontal scrolling shooters. Maybe they' re easier to make? Who knows!
