Simultaneous PC/360/PS3 Release for Fallout! - Feb 20, 2008 02:31

In an interview with videogaming247, Todd Howard, executive producer of Fallout 3, revealed that Bethesda plans on releasing all versions of the game at the same time. " They should all be the same date, that’s our plan," he explained. While the actual date has not been announced yet, the upcoming RPG is due to hit sometime in the third quarter of this year, targeting the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows.

While this may not seem to be that big of a deal, it should be welcome news to PS3 owners who have been forced to suffer through delays of cross-platform games, including Bethesda' s own Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That game, which came out in March 2006 for Windows and Xbox 360, took nearly a year to make its way to the PS3. Hopefully, this is a sign that developers are getting used to developing on the PS3 hardware and that these delays are a thing of the past.

Now if only we could get a date for that simultaneous release...
