lol Were they expensive?

Well, cheaper than if I' d gotten them in the U.S., but gold' s never really cheap. I got them for about $450 at the time. Never got them appraised stateside.

Ouch. How they hell did she manage to snatch them? Was she just too quick? I can understand that once she takes them off it would be difficult to get them back.
