Favourite comedians - Jan 22, 2008 06:09
Torr and I were talking online the other night, and the young whipper snapper hadn' t heard of my and a friend' s favourite comedian.

This thread is for you to dedicate videos of your favourite comedian' s best stand up routines.

Ladies and gentleman, I now present the late, great Bill Hicks:

On Drugs

On the Gulf War

On religion

As Goatboy

Eulogy - from the Tool album Aenima where they paid tribute to him

GEORGE ***ING CARLIN! The king of comedy, just look at the size of his audience. Any list of the top stand-up comics that doesn' t put Carlin in the top 3 is completely full of shit.

Yeah that was just the end of one joke, the entire show is brilliant. 10 minute clips do not do the guy justice.

Hour long shows:

-Complaints and Grievances

-You Are All Diseased

I still bought the DVDs I love this guy. Whenever he dies, I' ll have to take a month off to compose myself.

Majik based on the Comedian you showed I think you would like this guy. He' s not a comedian, just a YT user. He' s a genius... He did the same sort of skit your guy did except in his own style.

Redd Foxx: There' s 5 parts to this. Watch all 5, it' s worth it.

Befora Rock, before Eddie, there was Redd.
These were from late in his career, 1978. I can' t find any older footage of deceent quality ( it' s all documentaries) , but he uses a lot of his old material in this one.

Bill Cosby
Steven Wright
George Carlin
Lewis Black
Jon Stewart
Emo Phillips
Mike Birbiglia
Drew Carrey (unscripted)

I don' t particularly care for Dane Cook, Jerry Seinfeld, and Carlos Mencia' s the biggest hack in Hollywood.

Damn straight. Those are probably the three most overrated stand up comedians. Seinfeld is still the best show ever aired on television though.

Holy shit! I' ve never heard of him before. He' s fucking hilarious!

Few that I can think of right now are Demitri Martin, Mitch Hedberg, Robin Williams, Josh Sneed and Bill Burr.
