That specifies the Chip, not the mirrors, and is nothing but a marketing ploy.

The mirrors are in the chip.

" Samsung employs a Texas Instruments DLP chip that is comprised of millions of microscopic mirrors"

Well somewhere along the line there is an immense delay.

Unless they' ve actually improved that much in less than 2 years.

My roomate in college bought the best one (65" mitsibishi or or something) they had at Best Buy at the beginning of college last year. He also bought anohter high end one online (56" samsung).
The picture looked great, but everyone who gamed on them instantly noticed the delay. It was especially apparent in Halo and guitar hero. It isn' t just me.

I' ve also had friends that went to those guitar hero tournaments they have at ranodm stores complain that the tv' s they used (which were DLP) laged massively.

Not sure what kind of setup those guys were using, but I own a 2007 model Samsung 56" my friend has the 2006 model, and my other friend has a 61" 2007 model.

None of us have had any problems with the TV, especially not response time issues. They both have ps3' s, and one has a wii and ps3. I have all 3 on mine with no issues with any. Heck, I don' t even have problems playing my SNES on it.

Well you can get used to it. Unless you switch off between something better. One of my friends who didn' t play Halo much played on the big screen for a while then we switched teams and he played on my 2 ms monitor with me and immediatly noticed and said it was a lot easier to aim and control his dude. Some of my friends even refused to use the DLP after playing one game and instead used a 19" SD CRT. [:' (]

I didn' t get used to it. I switched from playing on a small 1080p LCD to my 56" Samsung DLP and noticed an improvement in every way except one, the silkscreen shimmer(which I don' t even notice anymore.

I really don' t know wtf is up with the TV' s you use, but I have never heard of such issues before, and not only that, but the Samsung DLP' s come with " game" modes that change settings to better correspond to the game type. Something that a TV that is bad for gaming wouldn' t have. If DLP' s had horrible response times, and were bad for gaming, I would have heard about it by now from more than a single forum poster.

I hooked up a second computer. Using just one wasn' t 1337 enough for me.

I put it under my desk because it isn' t as pretty, just a plain baige case.
I use a wireless keyboard with the 2nd one and have a 2nd G7 mouse i use for it.
Using 2 mice at once is pretty sweet. Once and a while I' ll type something on the wrong computer. I mostly just use the second one for browsing, chatting, and 1337 h4xing, but also use it for some gaming.

If you liked the first one you should like this one too. Especially if you got it in exchange for Condemned 2.

No I don' t download entire albums. I probably have some songs form it though.

Often I just use YouTube to listen to music.

Google DLP Lag

It' s funny, everyone says they have a " friend" who experiences lag all the time, but everyone who owns one experiences no problems at all! LOL!

My new roommate has one parked down stairs in the living room (52 inch DLP) and he has a Wii, 360, PS3, Gamecube, and PS2 hooked up to it. Perfect for gaming!

Plenty of the results there are from the owners. The simple fact that there are over 80,000 results confirms there is a problem.

The problem seems to be with the scaling. Most even have delays scaling from 1080i to 1080p which is pretty sad.

I bought the basic 360 version and the Special PS3 version (they were out of the basic PS3 version). If you' re thinking of spending extra money on the special edition, forget it and just get the guide instead.

I just picked up the hd dvd player for 360 for only 10 euro. Gamestop were selling them off. The media remote that comes with it is worth over 30 alone so said I might as well pick it up. Anyway I hear that it is possible to connect it to a pc? Anybody have any suggestions how I might do that?

Actually it kinda made me die a little on the inside buying this thing. Walking by the PS3 game selection at Best Buy my heart sank seeing there wasn' t a single game I wanted or even considered worth buying. MGS4 better make this worth it.
