F@cking Vista! - Dec 04, 2007 07:21
Ok, I have recieved the go-ahead that cracked programs work on Vista, no problemo.

However, it is DENYING my Wacom Tablet install CD.

It goes ahead with the installation and says the tablet is now installed, but when
I press ok, I get given this message

- Tablet version mismatch, please reinstall -

DOUBLE EWE-TEE-EFF????!!!!

Someone help please, Rampage, how do you get your tablet to work on Vista, or
does it just work? Is there something I need to do?

HELP!

Touche. I think that is probably the only thing to do.

You said that you have the Intous3 right? The drivers you are trying to install from the disc are XP drivers so they won' t work. Go HERE and download the Vista drivers. That should work.

If you are using Vista you have to be sure you are installing Vista drivers for your stuff. Vista is really good at getting drivers for your accessories on its own so when you plug something in give it time to search for them. In the case it doesn' t find the drivers, like the case you have now, just go to the manufacturer website and get them. Your tablet should work fine.

That actually worked Rampage, thanks.

Maybe I should have done more research before being a baby about it. Thanks, again.

Just installed Photoshop, now going to bed.

So I have a solution to MS sucking, alright the major problem(IMO) is that MS tries to help you(aka do everything for you) and they seem to be doing that more and more, now while some morons might need this so that they can actually have a pc without breaking it, it just makes everyone else' s life suck more.

My proposition is that MS make an advanced user OS and then the rest of us don' t have to deal with a pc that knows its smarter then us but doesn' t do what we want it to.

Now to answer the biggest question, why don' t I just use something else like linux, well that is because MS has the best support and I like playing games.

Have fun with this, refer to my post in dagashi' s thread for why I make no sense.

It' s never smart to jack any sort of memory unit from your computer when it' s not safely connected, much less while somethings actually running on it. I lost a hard drive doing that.

I think I need to rename all the USB ports because there are about 12 of them
including the memory card readers, because I get frustrated when I don' t know
which port is which, then I just unplug them.

12 USB ports?!?! What kind of computer do you have? I' ve got 8 on mine along with 2 Firewire ports (which I' ll probably never use) and I thought that was overkill.

It' s an ordinary Packard Bell PC, but with loads of attachments, it' s really just
eight, but it counts the memory card readers as USB ports, and bumps it up
to 12.

It' s my " cheap" PC until I can get another Quad Core one with 4GB of Ram and
a better graphic card/specs...

Wow, you basically just described my computer. you can get one from Dell for about $2000 witth hose specs. If you know ho to build it yourself you' ll probably spend between $1700 and $1900.
