Dual Shock 3 - Nov 28, 2007 21:04
Well it' s taken 2 days to get from Hong Kong to Manchester - DHL delivered it just 5 minutes ago.

I' m at work so i won' t be able to test it for a few more hours but i' ve taken it out of the box to get a feel for the weight, and i like it. A lot.

Anyhoo, i' m not sure what games support it but i' ll give detailed impressions later.

Does anybody else have one?

I heard you can find one in Aba' s ass.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I' ve only actually had time to test it with Uncharted, Ratchet and Resistance. Does it make a difference? Yes, the combination of rumble and additional weight does feel better.

It' s as heavy as the wireless 360 pad and it feels much more solid than the regular SixAxis.

I' ve noticed people claiming that the buttons, triggers and analog sticks feel different, but they don' t. The only thing that is different is the sensitivity of L3 and R3. They click easier and while it' s subtle, it is noticeable and it is better.

The rumble itself is just like PS2' s. It would have been nice if they' d taken Immersion up on their offer of newer and more advanced technology, but it' s nice to have it back all the same.

Strangely, CoD4 isn' t compatible...

Now all they need to do is fix the triggers

I' ll get one just for the added weight. I don' t give half a shit about rumble.

Yeah, the sixaxis feels like it will break in my hand sometimes.

The problem with the sixaxis isn' t so much the weight IMO. It' s the durability. Two of the controllers I' ve used since launch are extremely worn out, with poor battery life an clunky joysticks with insensitive buttons(triggers are fine). The only one that is good is the one I also bought at launch, but reserve only for FPS or Warhawk. The others got used for racing, sports, oblivion etc.

Now Dagashi brings out an important issue: Battery life. Nitro, could you give us an update once you have an estimate of battery life?
