DualShock 3 confirmed... - Sep 20, 2007 17:40

" We have not made any changes to its outward appearance and design, but it does have vibration," said Hirai. The much-rumoured peripheral will launch in Japan in November this year. American and European gamers will have to wait until spring 2008. Specific dates and pricing information will be announced " at a later date,"

When they said it was impossible they based it on the rumble technology they currently had available, which in truth was impossible to use in a SixAxis controller.
But today, when technology has taken a few steps forward, the rumble can be used in SixAxis.

So they didn' t lie. You simply took it as a lie.

It might have made it a little difficult to work out a technical solution at the time which explains why they didn' t have the technology ready for the launch.
But the truth is still that there was no technology worked out at the time of the statement. So they didn' t lie, Sony never lies. It' s only a bunch of fanboys that tries to twist their words.

You have nothing on Sony unless you show real quotes that I can' t turn into truth.

Not only that,.but they said it were a old gen feature not needed.

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I cant find the exact qoute from the guy who said it, but ia quick search arond the web will reveal it was indeed a planned feature, because the PS3 is so powerful it could run two seperate sessions on two seperate screens in 1080p, the thing can barely play a single game in 1080p

Those weren' t quotes. That wasn' t like saying " we promise to have this in the PS3" .
Those were " projectionary, or target, specifications" as I' d like to call it. Those weren' t the specs for the final product but rather their goal was to set it there.
Luckily they didn' t make the PS3 with all of that abundant crap because that would' ve raised the price without making the console much better. I mean no one would' ve used those things. So you could say they listened to the consumers and realised that they shouldn' t really put those things in the PS3.

Once again you fanboys manage to make something negative out of something that was actually positive from Sony' s side. But if you idiots want to play with seven controllers on one console then go ahead

I' d love the option to do that, I' d try and crash the console on a session of LittleBigPlanet.

Yes ive got a good picture now. I don' t blame people for being angry with Sony on this subject. They decided to quick-cut Nintendo and go montion controls but it back fired. It' s useless, noone uses it, either do it properly or not atall.

You can' t pull out Patents because you know your wrong. so you come out with something a child would say to another.

Is that supposed to hurt anyone.. R.I.P?

Will that be enoutgh to stop the millions of new gamers growing up and loving their Nintendo games and systems?

I' ll stop having conversations with you as you know little of the industry.

I' ll be happy if the feature can be turned off. I couldn' t give a rats ass about rumble. I never actually noticed it, ever. I just want a heavier controller that doesn' t feel like I can throw it into space.

Before you ask I want to be able to turn it off to preserve battery life.

gamer4eva actually what ginj says is true. Sega had an idea similiar to the Wiimote (Sega wanted to make a Nights for Dreamcast which would' ve worked exactly like Wii does today, they even intended the controller to look like a remote, but Naka said no) and, in fact, if you got a Dreamcast, Sega Bass Fishing and Virtua Tennis you can actually use the Bass Fishing Controller to play VT like you do nowadays with your Wiimote and Wii Tennis. With the small difference that VT with Bass Fishing Controller is a proper and fun game, while Wii Tennis is a waste of time.

EDIT: Oh, and in fact, Sony already demonstrated a controller with motion sensing abilities back in the 90s. That' s long before the Wiimote was announced.

Fanboys just make everyone look bad... It' s retarded.

I for one am glad to get the option of rumble again, but i didn' t really miss it truth be told.

I just think it suck that once again, Japan is serviced frst. Meaning i either delay my purchase of uncharted, import a controller or play through it twice.
