poor girl!

I have a mental disorder of some kind, i always find it terrible when something happens to girls, if it had been a young boy i would have thought, that should teach him to put his feet up at the right time!

Unless its small kids ofcourse, then i just feel bad no matter what!

these accidents are completely unaccpetable, the worst part is the way the person at the end scoffed it off, yeah it happens every year, she could have been killed, her life certainly will never be the same again now, I think she and her parents get a good lawyer and sue the place well.

The best time I ever had going to an amusement park was with my friend' s christian church group.

I made out a lot, & we lit an axe-flamethrower on the bus!

They' ve temporarily shut down the free fall attraction in the swedish amusement park Gröna Lund until they' ve determined what' s happened over there in the U.S.
Scary, but at least there' s a good chance she' ll be able to use her feet again with all the advanced surgery that is available.

I must' ve missed the part mentioning christians... What' s that all about?

The article didn' t mention anything about Christians. I was just being an asshole...because I' m good at it. I' m not so sure about Majik though, maybe he actually thinks Christians cut off the poor girl' s feet. Majik what the hell is wrong with you?

You mean with her real biological feet? Not likely.

After the Christians you have to get the Muslims. I think they might actually be worse. The average Muslim is as bad as what I would call an extremist Christian. Has anyone here read the Qu' ran, it' s sick stuff, really fucking twisted. It suggests that there is a holy war between Muslims and none Muslims and encourages genocide, and it' s very clear on this. I won' t even go into the pedophilia.

Next the Buddhists need to die. They try to pass off as a philosophy, bullshit. It' s a religion. They have a God and they support oppression, it' s a religion. The people who created Buddhism were pretty bold, and I have to say it was a good scam. They promoted the idea of minimalism as the secret to eternal happiness. So you have millions of dirt poor peasant monks and you have these Buddhist Temples made of Gold, then they tell you to live with the smallest means. There are two types of Buddhists, the hypocrites and the suckers, depending on how wealthy they are. No one is more full of shit than a Buddhist.

Finaly we could get rid of the rest, the Sikhs, the Jews, the Hindus, the Peagans.... Along with all the other one' s that that don' t even deserve mention should be wiped out. So the only ones left are the Agnostics and the Atheists, then and only then would we have world peace. Leave all the intelligent and sane people and we might be able to get rid of poverty and oppression.

And? The religions are still very dangerous. It' s not really the people I hate , it' s the beliefs they accept. The fact that they have the capacity to hold superstitions as fact and are willing to kill for those superstitions really doesn' t sit well with me.

It doesn' t even matter how nice the people are, the religions need to be eliminated on the grounds of being retarded.

RE: Just in case you thought you were having a bad day... - Jun 25, 2007 04:11
Anything can be dangerous if the people who are exposed to it aren' t mature enough to use their heads.
If it' s not religion then it' s a political ideal, a soccer fan club, a crime syndicate, primitive flock behaviour, a violent videogame or deep oppressed anger.
The religions themselves aren' t the big problem, but sometimes they' re a way to get into the minds of the weak. It' s the weakness of the people that' s the problem. Poverty, war, oppression and other destructive elements of society is what makes people weak.
In my eyes, religion can be as good as it can be bad. For most people it seems to help them in situations where they need to stay focused during hard times.
But because the ones who are affected by religion in a negative, more destructive way, are given more attention, it' s easy to draw the conclusion that religion is bad in itself.

Religions are control mechanisms based on lies and myths used to oppress people. How are they not bad?

As I stated above, there are many ways to oppress people. I don' t see religion as one of the worst since it comes with many benefits.
Whether it' s used to oppress or help is based on the situation and the people who are interpreting the religion.
If you' d fight religion until it' s gone then the people who strive for power will use other methods, like political ideals, etc.
It is problems like the ones I stated above that makes it easy to use religion in a destructive way (poverty, war, oppression etc.)
I don' t understand why, or with what right, you proclaim yourself to be righteous, or why religion itself should be fought.
You seem to be the one with anger, a destrucitve attitude and the one who encourages violence. Not the religious people.
As I said, anyone can be nice or bad, regardless of what you believe in.
Many religious people are really nice because they' ve lived happy lifes.
Many religious people are really bad because they' ve lived harch lifes.
I don' t see a problem in the religion itself, but in the circumstances it' s followers have gone through.

Politics, crime, all have opposites and can be managed, they' re temporary institutes that are open to change based on their nature. With crime we have a justice system and a police force to fight crime, we already have a system in place to deal with it. With politics we have a democracy (ideally). At least we can vote off the assholes we don' t like. Religions are authoritarian, we can' t vote them off.

Religion is not malleable in this way. We' re not supposed to question religion, they can say whatever they want. They' re not accountable to anyone, anything they say is automatically justified because that' s their belief system. What I' m talking about is so serious that people use the Qu' ran or bible (it doesn' t matter which one) to excuse their hatred for different classes of people. People love to pick on weaker people or minorities and things like the Bible and Qu' ran make it a whole lot easier to do so. " God hates fags" , we' ve all seen that one, or how about how women have been marginalized by muslims in the middle east. The Qu' ran encourages Pedophilia, their idea of Heaven is the 72 virgins. In these places you will be executed for not sharing their beliefs. You don' t think that' s dangerous? It' s a snowball effect, fanaticism breeds more fanaticism.

It' s all based on lies. They talk about Angels like they' re real. They use fear mongering to to push their ideas. I don' t care what anyone says, telling a kid about Hell is abuse. By the way Hell didn' t exist in early Christianity. Originally, the punishment for being a bad Christian was the idea that you had no soul and no afterlife. That wasn' t scary enough so they created the idea of Hell and started pushing the idea on kids at younger ages.

The manifest function of religion is to sedate the weak, poor and stupid. Why do you think the poor and prisoners are the ones targetted the most by religions? They' re ***ing crooks, and they get away with it. Churches still are tax exempt, rich people are " donating" their money to these dog shit churches to evade taxes.

No body steals from the poor and gives to the rich better than Religion.

Everything that is good about religion can be done better without it. You say they bring people together, no they don' t. They bring people of the same class together. That' s a very important distinction. I said the manifest function of religion is to sedate the weak, stupid and poor, well the latent function has proven to be a catalyst for racial and religious hatred.

Don' t get me wrong I was only joking earlier, and when I say kill off these religions I don' t mean to literally kill religious people. I' m talking about demolishing these institutions. And I apologize for hijacking this thread.

I don' t want to kill anybody, & I still belive in God.

Do I dangle off of every word that comes out of the Vatican? Nope. Do I listen to Christian talk radio? No again. Do I picket outside of gay servicemen' s funerals? No. Do I go blow people up because they " think wrong" ? No. Do I think that priests are beyond doing some seriously terrible things? Of course not. There' s plenty of logical explanations as to why organised religion is not a good idea. I' m personally of the opinion that you should belive what you belive, & not muck about with other people' s lives, a beleif that' s gotten me in trouble more than once.

I don' t preach about my faith, & I don' t evangelize to those who don' t share my beliefs. If somebody of like mind is interested in discussing with me, I' ll be more than happy to share, but there' s no reason in debating something you can' t prove, and knowing that at the end of the day, they won' t change their beleifs (or lack thereof) anymore than I will mine.

If I were a stereotypical angry stupid high & mighty religious guy, I' d be trying to convert you right now. But I won' t, because I have enough respect for you to know that we don' t have to agree on religion (or again, lack thereof) to be cool with eachother.

All religious people aren' t oversensitive twots, & all atheists aren' t cynical bastards. Discussing stuff like this from this perspectives we all are won' t go anywhere.

If all religious people thought like you Eddie there would be no problem, infact religion would dissolve. There would just be personal beliefs, which I have no problem with.

Goth is really just a clothing style based on the 18th and early 19th century not a way of life. At most you could say that some people take it further and are attracted to the idea of romanticism & idealism. Which is hardly nihilism.
