Internet radio in danger, you might be helpful!!! - May 05, 2007 18:02
One of my favourite Internet Radio stations is having problems due to some new law that will completely ruin their economy.
They explain it
HERE
I think it sounds terrible if true? If you live in the U.S. then you can support them

Here' s some old news about it that confirms the whole issue.

Oh that' s too bad because there are many benefits you get from Internet radio. You can listen to channels that have a slightly different choice of music than the normal FM channels, you can read info and comment the different songs directly on the Internet, it' s a great way of finding new artists you usually don' t listen to, unlike regular radio you always have a good connection, many stations don' t have much commercials, and so on and so on.
Try listening to any of the channels at www.di.fm or www.sky.fm
You can also use your Windows Media Player to search for additional radio stations.

Thx for sharing gingirou, I like radio but never got into internet radio. I always assumed you had to buy a subscription. After trying DI for a few minutes, it' s pretty neat. I saved Sky and DI in my favorites.

Thanks Ginj. I listen to internet radio constantly, mostly stations from other cities I have lived in or visited. It' s especially critical to defend internet radio in the U.S. where there is such a danger of monopoly in broadcast media.

Just a little reminder that Internet Radio is still in danger.
Today is the national day of silence for U.S. webcasters.
So if you were wondering why your favourite Internet Radio station is silent, now you know.
