Splinter Cell: Conviction - May 04, 2007 05:50
The game takes place in broad daylight this time, but don' t worry, it is still a stealth action game. At the beginning of the game, Sam learns that Anna Grimsdottir (Anna is the person in charge of intelligence gathering for Third Echelon, and an old friend of Sam' s) is in danger so Sam joins up with Third Echelon once more in order to help. Unfortunately, 3E is not what it used to be, and Sam frequently gets incomplete and bad intel, as well as the wrong equipment. All this, and the 3E bosses are in the middle of a political squabble for control. Sam eventually finds out that the threat is actually coming from inside Third Echelon itself, so he leaves and basically becomes a fuigitive. Looks like Sam is on the wrong side of the law once more, this time for real.

You mean Splinter Cell: ConViction
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I could never get into the Splinter Cell games. It all seems like too much trouble just to shoot a few people. I' d rather play as Rambo before James Bond any day.

This looks completely different. The outdoor part reminds me of Assassins Creed and it' s crowd AI...

I' m glad they' re focusing on daylight levels rather than having to sneak about in the darkness again. I' m sure there will be some dark sections but it' s definitely looking like it' s going to be a far better game than Double Agent.

Montreal are handling it too so it should be amazing. They did Chaos Theory, and that' s regarded as the best Splinter Cell game to date, ...definitely my favourite.

It' s just s shame it' s 360/PC only.

Why?

It will give them time to focus on making one game instead of making 4.

Now this is next-gen.

This was taken from an interview with the developers,

Some pretty negative comments about the ps3 made by the devs. They state the fact that they are exclusive to the 360 allows them to do much more than if they were multiplatform (duh) but they also state they doubt they would be able to achieve what they' re doing with the game on the 360 on the ps3 even if it was ps3 exclusive.

The lead programmer told the magazine he doubts they would have been able to pull of the lightning effects they have right now on the ps3. That' s the only thing they say straight out, but they do state they believe they' re much better off on the 360.

I can belive that after seeing the shocking port of SC:DA on PS3.

Wrong, it was mistranslated by the Xbox site that originally posted the interview. People who spoke the language confirmed it was a mistranslation.

SC:DA on PS3 sucks because UbiSoft did a terrible job with the port.
