Splinter Cell flick in the works - Dec 17, 2004 21:25

Paramout Pictures has acquired the film rights for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and hired Peter Berg to direct and also co-write the script with JT Petty and John J. McLaughlin. Michael Ovitz will produce the movie, with Peter Berg, Michael Clancy, and Yves Guillemot serving as executive producers.

Team Xbox

There are already movies based off his top selling books so why not off a top selling game. Peter Berg directed Very Bad Things, The Rundown, and Friday Night Lights. An iffy director...hope he sticks to the games story

Hmmm....while I think this would definitely be cool, I think that a Metal Gear Solid would do better in the box office. A far longer-standing game series with a much larger fan base. I' ll check out SC as a movie, but would prefer to see a MGS flick.
