Not sure if anyone is still in the market for a new computer but if you are check this out. Q6600 Processor / 4GB Ram / 500GB HD / 8800GT Video Card / TWO 19" panels, $999USD shipped... that' s a pretty insane deal.

I really don' t know. One of my co-workers sent this my way today to make fun of how much I spent on my computer in comparison, lol.

Other than the fact that it comes with two monitors , the parts included are not that expensive. You can get the Q6600 for under 250$ and the 8800GT for under 200$.

1000$ is what you can expect to pay for a mid range PC these days.

Which really goes to show how cheap technology is these days. Can' t believe they' re still charging such exorbitant prices for the Wii.

You could build your own equivalent from scratch with 2 comparable monitors for about $1500. That' s a really good deal. I was a bit tempted but I need dual video cards so I can use 4 monitors.

I was THIS close to buying in on this deal myself, but held back.

I figured I' d just sell the monitors on eBay! Damn! I' m still thinking about it!

I wouldn' t buy now. The next gen of GPUs from both Nvidia and ATI are coming out in July and June respectively. Both are going to be about double the performance of what we have now.

The 9900GTX and the HD 4870 are both going to be monsters.

Honestly, other than the prices dropping on old cards, this doesn' t affect me much. I don' t play games on my computer, so I don' t need anything too special. I just want something that' s a little faster than what I have, and not so cluttered with crap!

It' s massively overclockable. Up to something like 3.6GHz on air. You can take the E6850 to 4.0GHz (my QX6850 is a dual-die chip made up of 2 x E6850) but while a stock E6850 is better (for gaming) than a stock Q6600, an overclocked Q6600 is better (for everything) than an overclocked E6850.

It' s good value for money but definitely at the lower end of the scale now.
