PC Mass Effect is not developred by bioware - Apr 09, 2008 02:57

Hi everyone,

I have just confirmed with the development team that we are making a small change to the release date of Mass Effect for the PC. We had previously announced May 6, 2008 for North America. The new release date for North America is May 28, 2008 and June 6, 2008 in Europe.

The team here at BioWare, working closely with the good folks at Demiurge Studios, has decided that a few more weeks in the studio will ensure we deliver the quality that our fans deserve. The additional time will allow us to incorporate more play-testing feedback, add extra polish and tune the additional features so that Mass Effect is a natural and outstanding PC gaming experience.

BioWare and EA are dedicated to excellence. We’re confident that the extra time will be reflected in the final PC experience that we deliver to our fans.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to delivering a great game!

Thanks all.

Hopefully it won' t be as bad as halo 1/2 for PC.

You could have a computer thats 300 times more powerful than an xbox, the xbox version of halo1/2 is still smoother. Truly craptastic ports.

As expected . Those greedy fucks at EA would obviously want Bioware to start working on the next big thing . Mass Effect on the pc would sell anyways ...

I would buy this, if i hadnt already completed it on the 360.

All 360 to PC ports should be free for owners of the original game.

That' s actually a really good idea. Digital distribution would make that possible too.
Just buy a game and be able to download and play it on whatever system your account works on.

Final Fantasy XI lets you do that. If you buy the game you can play it on PC, PS2 or Xbox 360.

Really? Surely you still have to buy each separate disc on top of the subscription cost. (And XBL if you' re on 360..)

Yeah but you can just get the discs from friends or anyone to install the game then return them (Not sure if you can play without discs on consoles but you can on PC). And I think that anyone who has a 360 will have Live.
