A user created a working calculator using ingame parts.

I had no interest in the game until now.  I mean holy shit i'm impressed.  Watch the video, WATCH IT!

See the open ended creativity is why I so want this game. It comes out the same day as far Cry 2. So I think I'm gonna be fuck all busy making maps for two different games. Hmm maybe maps I make in Far Cry I should re-create in LBP...

Yeah the beta is great but that had to have taken a lot of time...

EDIT::: Oh I have an extra EU LBP beta key that I won so if anyone wants it?

That's fantastic.  I think a PS3 price drop combined with confirmation that Yakuza 3 will be coming stateside would finally give me enough reasons (in addition to Little Big Planet & Valkyria Chronicles) to get a PS3.

It's not really my thing either. I wouldn't have enough patience to work on something decent. What surprises me though is that a big part of the internet community seems to like this game while some of those same people otherwise bash "casual non-games" without story lines and so on.

See, I do. I get off on meticulous user-created details like that.

There are some really good levels among the created ones... But they're drowning in "ZOMG the Rokcecz go zooz" levels that last two seconds... That or giant penises.

Posted this in the Review/Preview Q&A thread but I'll copy-paste it here for good measure:

I'm writing the LittleBigPlanet review as you read :) The embargo elapses sometime on Tuesday - hopefully 12.01 am.

If you have any particular issues you'd like to see tackled on the basis of your beta experiences or aught else, now's the time to broach 'em...

I didn't realise Agent Ghost's mum had such a bearing on LittleBigPlanet. Hmmm. Might have to knock a few points off the score.
