Forum Etiquette - Jun 16, 2007 03:20
So as most you know I am new to this forum and forums in general and I' d like to know some of the do' s and don' t' s of this forum.

I would also like to let this be used as a shout out to anyone you think is doing something wrong and please try to be constuctive and not just say " you suck at posting" or whatever.

I also thought that people could rate other users(and again dont be an ***hole about it) on a 1 to 10 scale: 1 being really bad and 10 being awesome. Also please state why you rated them this way or just don' t do it at all.

" Torr" means " dry" in swedish
Would you like to explain in THIS THREAD?
Anyway, a rating system is not a good idea. It' s quite difficult to give someone an accurate rating and I see no point of doing it.
The do' s and don' t' s are explained HERE

OK I' ll admit that rating is a bad idea.

But I meant that I would like some helpful advice rather than just rules, like what makes people mad or what-not like saying that rating is a bad idea. But I think the advice part would be really helpful.

I think that making people upset and becoming upset yourself is a part of life and something you should expect. Especially when you are discussing interesting things with people.
As long as you avoid personal insults and treat people with respect I think everything is ok.
Just use common sense and it' ll be fine.
It' s better to make a mistake and learn from it, rather than trying to figure out everything before hand anyway, so I hope you learn something here someday

Alright I was just hoping for some feedback on how I' ve been doing so far. You know see if anyone hates me yet. And get to know some of the other users better but it appears I have failed and I bet this thread will die quickly.

Oh um... well you' ve been a good lad so far. It seems you' re pretty serious about your membership asking these questions and all. It' s hard to say much after such short time.
No one hates you unless you give them reason to. I don' t think you' ve given us any reason to hate you... yet
Things take time. Just follow the forum as you wish and you' ll get to know us and if you post your opinions we' ll get to know you.
So... um... what brought you to Kikizo? What do you want from your membership here? A free game like the rest of us or do you just want to discuss about games?

Don' t bother with the voting stuff, but other than that there' s not much you can do to get flamed here. Don' t post console-sales statistics, don' t be a blatant fanboy. If there' s no fact or solid opinion in your post, click that little x button up and a little bit to the right of here.

Glad you' re actually sticking around though. We could use a couple of new faces.

Well you I won' t turn down a free game but one of my best friends is on here and he recomended that I get on.

Eddie

So i got on and i like it so far. Before this I got most of my info from my friend and GI which was like way behind. I' m also getting a 360 soon so I feel I should be able to put forward my input.

My rating actually runs from 1 - 12, where 1 is " the pits man" and 12 is " the gold standard of awesomeness" ... But i' m actually quite busy so i' ll only post my 12' s, 11' s, 10' s and ...1' s.

I' d like to give and honorary metion to Joe Redifer who if he posted here as often as he does as The Magic Box would actually get a 13.

We sort of talked about this before, and I think the consensus we came up with is that the best posts are from members that are either piss drunk or bat shit crazy. People who don' t fit into at least one of these two categories are easilly forgotten and rarely liked. Don' t worry if you' re sane and sober, stick around and we' ll see what we can do for you.

I don' t know about you guys but it' s Friday here and I intend on giving my liver some extra curricular activities tonight.

He was nice enough, I never had issues with him, but he couldn' t take the heat on the forums & took off.

Either that or he really did become a male-nurse or ballerina.

Polish mafia, they spend more time drinking & eating than actually bumping people off. They only hit GaNgStA to make their quarterly revenue. He did have than supadope navy-blue DS though....

Bat shit crazy... hmmm... I kinda like the title. You' ve got nothing to worry about as you fall into both, but I better crank up the insanity a bit if I still want to be a respected member of the forums.

wow if anybody who has seen that doesn' t automatically feel like throwing up after seeing that you should go and kill yourself, seriously I mean it that has to be the nastiest thing I have ever seen.

I can at least admit I' m sober, but as for sane that is another story completely and I guess I fit in at least a little and you don' t think I do I don' t care I' m sticking around anyway.
