Dark Knight review - Jul 22, 2008 23:54
Very entertaining, Joker is awesome, but it was at least 30 mins too long at 2:30 hours duration and I really (agonisingly) needed to piss badly by the end of it. Serves me right for bringing beer in and sitting in middle of a row.

Highest rated film of all time on IMDB right now, overtaken The Godfather.

I agree, some parts where a little drawn, but overall, the film was very good. Every time Heath Ledger wasn't in a scene, I was just wondering with what crazyness he would show up with next

You would have enjoyed it more if not for the need to eject urine.  That kind of thing really detracts from the enjoyment.  Oh well, it will give you something to look forward to when the Blu-ray comes out.  Watch it with your PS3 forcing 24p out to your 120Hz (not 100Hz) 1080p TV!

What?  Needing to pee?  Or 100Hz vs 120Hz?  If it is the latter, it greatly matters since 100 is not a proper multiple of 24.

No it doesn't matter.  People who go buy movies don't stand around thinking "hmmm 24p 100hmhz" they don't know what the fuck they're doing, they're just going to buy it.  You're a geek.

Of course normal people don't care about it.  But A/V enthusiasts do.  You're just sad because you have an inferior TV and are trying to convince yourself that it doesn't matter.

ANYWAY, Batman sure needs a throat lozenge in this movie.  He was speaking at least two registers below what his voice was capable of.

You know, I really don't care.  If you like to feel superior because your TV is tube and weighs 500lbs, be my guest.  You're a fucking loser.

A. You started it
B. If you don't care why did you bring it up
C. It's only a TV. I'm sure it's not the end of the world. Cry moar.

Sounds like you're the one wanting to feel superior here. Just my two cents.

Saw The dark knight a few hours ago on imax. It was as i expected to be and more wicked awesome!
Loved the gritty moments and this darker batman movie brought the other main characters in the spotlight such as everyone's favourite "You complete me" joker and my favourite Harvy Dent
Well worth 2:30+ min.
Great movie can't wait till the release of the DVD

Each frame displayed 100 times?  Why not go for 101 times instead?  264 fps!

A IMAX must see. Looked sounded and felt amazing. So did you goto the London premier where Bale was said to have assaulted his mom and sister? Today he said the allegations were untrue.

Was that explained in the first movie?  Because I sure don't remember that.

I don't remember that neither unless it was in that anime series that came out just prior to Dark Knight. I guess it makes sense tho.

saw the movie yesterday, was very good better than begins, altough it does have its flaws, the plot wasnt so strong and if the characters didnt carry the movie so well it would have been worse than begins imo.
